MY DAUGHTER LISA DIED OF ADDISONS DISEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE

My daughter Lisa Marie Bates lost her life to Addison's Disease in 1986 because her doctors missed all the classic symptoms. My heart is broken forever losing my ten year old daughter to this auto-immune disease that attacks the adrenal gland. Lisa was diagnosed over and over when she was nine years old with having a virus or a flu, and then her pigment started to get very blotchy with white spots which they called vitiligo. Her skin tanned a lot in the summer but she just never seemed to completely lose her tan. Because Lisa died in the summer they completed dismissed her darkened pigment, although I had complained to her doctors about that too. Lisa was sent to a dermatologist, then to that world famous children's hospital where her doctors did many blood tests. Her doctors also missed that she had a thyroid problem. If your child gets any type of pigment disorder please ask them to check for Addison's disease especially if they are experiencing a lot of flus. Don't let what happened to me, happen to you. Lisa's story has already saved one life that I know of, maybe this article will save another.
